Sales Promotion and Personal Selling Pt 1

Sales promotion is marketing communication activities, other than advertising, personal selling and public relations. Its short incentives for a company to distribute a product or service, by lowering the price of the product or service that is being distributed. Sales promotions are used as an incentive for the consumer to buy. A sales promotion that Chevrolet Motors Company has is when a consumer purchases a new vehicle they receive two thousand dollars cash back, or zero annual percentage rates for those who qualify. This is a good incentive for consumers who are looking for a deal with benefits. There are also trade -sell promotions, which are sales promotion activities targeting a marketing channel member such as a wholesaler or retailer. Another sales promotion are coupons, yet Chevrolet does not participate in this form of promotions.
